This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, driving preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives, and leading a team of skilled trades professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to support operational excellence, safety, quality, and continuous improvement objectives.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nLead daily maintenance activities across all shifts, ensuring timely response and resolution of equipment downtime.\nCollaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to identify priorities and support operational needs. \nMonitor equipment performance, analyze downtime trends, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions. \nDrive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. \nOversee maintenance planning, scheduling, work order management, and maintenance system accuracy with the use of eMaint.\nCoordinate line access, maintenance shutdowns, ensure repairs, and troubleshoot efforts during production changeover and recurring equipment issues\nManage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers related to equipment, facilities, and grounds maintenance.\nOversee MRO inventory, parts procurement, tool crib management, and maintenance planning activities. \nWork closely with Engineering on tooling, controls, process improvements, and the implementation of new technologies. \nEnsure compliance with quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems. \nManage departmental budgets and ensure resources are effectively allocated.\nLeadership Responsibilities\nLead, coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to achieve departmental and organizational goals.\nSupport workforce planning, staffing, performance management, training, and talent development activities. \nPromote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. \nAddress employee performance concerns and administer corrective actions when required.\nEducation and Qualifications\nQualifications\nPrevious maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.\nExperience with CMMS systems, in particular eMAINT, and maintenance planning processes.\nProven troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities. \nWorking knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards within manufacturing operations.\nExperience managing maintenance budgets, contractors, and cross-functional projects is preferred.\nFooter\nThe expected annual base salary range for this role is 120k-150k CAD.\nThe job is for an existing vacancy.\nThe actual base salary offered to the successful candidate
