This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills by working alongside Dana's Engineers and Material Planners in the completion of departmental oriented tasks, projects, and assignments.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nQuality Engineering Duties & Responsibilities\nCreation of quality documentation.\nMaintain records of manufacturing.\nQuality auditing and investigation.\nCollaborate with other department functions to develop and implement controls and improvements.\nInspect and test products and processes to ensure quality specifications are met.\nGear Process Engineering Duties & Responsibilities\nManufacturing engineers work specifically with the production of our gearsets. \nWork with corporate gear engineering to maximize manufacturability.\nTroubleshoot manufacturing issues.\nAssist with gear manufacturing process improvements.\nPerform quality studies to improve process capability.\nAssist with plant layout/department layouts.\nWork with manufacturing engineers on pre-production product.\nProcess Engineering Duties & Responsibilities\nSupport production with continuous improvement to process design and efficiencywithin project timelines.\nDevelop and update documentation, including process sheets, PFMEA’s and Control Plans.\nResolve quality and tooling issues.\nAssist in troubleshooting process and machine issues. \nWork in cross functional teams.\nControls / Automation Engineering Duties & Responsibilities\nIntegrate sensors, vision systems and other devices to existing processes.\nTroubleshoot and recover line stoppages.\nLead cross functional teams to recover and prevent line downtime.\nIdentify and set up critical spares.\nImplement process and quality improvements.\nMaterial Planning/Production Scheduling\nAssist with monitoring inventory level, and analysis of material requirements.\nReview material position to determine any shortages and assist in developing recovery plans.\nSupport cycle count and root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies.\nAssist with schedule and help resolve scheduling conflicts or delays.\nHelp analyze constraints and purpose schedule adjustments and corrective actions.\nWork on improvement projects for scheduling activities.\nEducation and Qualifications\nEnrollment & active pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
