This role provides technical expertise in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality planning, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting cross-functional teams. The Senior Quality Engineer plays a strategic role in driving operational excellence, enhancing product reliability, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nDevelop and oversee quality systems and documentation in alignment with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements. \nEnsure robust quality planning during product launches and engineering changes.\nLead complex investigations into product and process non-conformances using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys). \nEnsure timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.\nCoordinate and execute APQP deliverables including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product and process readiness.\nMonitor key performance indicators such as scrap rates, customer complaints, and audit findings. \nUse statistical analysis to identify trends and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and process efficiency.\nProvide technical guidance and leadership to Quality Engineers and Technicians. \nSupport training initiatives and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.\nEducation and Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience\n7+ years of experience \nSkills\nAdvanced proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans. \nStrong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, with experience in leading audits, managing compliance, and driving quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.\nProven ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing. \nDemonstrated success in mentoring team members, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.\nUnsolicited Resumes from Third-Party Recruiters\nPlease note that as per Dana policy, we do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters unless such recruiters were engaged to provide candidates for a specified opening.
