This position serves as the primary quality resource for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP submissions, launch readiness activities, process validation, and customer approval requirements.\nThe Quality Engineer - PPAP works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Metrology, and Customer Quality functions to ensure successful product launches while maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, AIAG Core Tools, and customer-specific standards.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nPPAP Management & Customer Approvals\nLead preparation, review, submission, and approval of customer PPAP packages.\nEnsure compliance with AIAG PPAP requirements and customer-specific requirements.\nMaintain PPAP status tracking and communicate progress to stakeholders.\nCoordinate customer submission timing to support launch and production milestones.\nManage annual revalidations and PPAP updates resulting from engineering or process changes.\nAPQP & Launch Readiness\nSupport Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities throughout the product lifecycle.\nParticipate in launch readiness reviews and cross-functional team meetings.\nCoordinate completion of launch deliverables including Process Flows, PFMEA, Control Plans, capability studies, and MSA activities.\nIdentify launch risks and drive preventive actions to ensure successful production implementation.\nProcess Validation & Core Tools\nDevelop and maintain Control Plans for assigned products and processes.\nSupport PFMEA development and updates as part of a cross-functional team.\nConduct process capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).\nLead Measurement System Analysis (MSA), including GR&R studies and calibration-related support activities.\nValidate manufacturing process changes and process capability requirements.\nCustomer & Internal Quality Support\nSupport customer visits, audits, and technical reviews.\nInterface directly with customers regarding PPAP approvals, and launch-related issues.\nContinuous Improvement & Operational Support\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction activities.\nApply statistical analysis techniques to drive data-based decision making.\nAssist with supplier quality concerns, supplier PPAP approvals, and supplier corrective actions.\nConduct Layered Process Audits (LPA), CQI assessments, and process audits to ensure compliance.\nCompliance & Documentation\nEnsure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.\nMaintain accurate quality records and documentation related to APQP and PPAP activities.\nSupport internal, registrar, and customer audits.\nDrive closure of audit findings and corrective actions.\nEducation and Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience\n7+ years of experience \nExperience supporting PPAP submissions, APQP activities, customer launches, or manufacturing quality systems preferred.\nAutomotive manufacturing experience preferred.\nExperience with FMEA, Process Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Actions required.\nDemonstrated competence in quality-related statistical methods and data analysis.\nExperience working with customer-specific requirements and quality audits preferred.\nCertifications\nASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.\nCertified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification preferred.\n\nSkills\nTechnical Skills\nStrong understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and Process Flow requirements.\nProficient in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.\nUnderstanding of IATF 16949 requirements.\nUnderstanding of AIAG Core Tools requirements.\nUnderstanding of CQI special process assessments and audit requirements.\nStrong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.\nAbility to perform process capability and measurement system analyses.\nWorking knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems.\nProfessional Skills\nExcellent organizational and
