Surrounded by a diverse and collaborative global community, you’ll be inspired each day to stretch, grow, and make an impact.\nLearn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.\nTheApplication Consultant is responsible for delivering first class and professional technical applications support and training, performing demonstrations of Leica Biosystems instruments and reagents, supporting with promotion and sales of the LBS product portfolio, mostly though not exclusively in their defined territory, ensuring Leica Biosystems’ solutions have maximum uptime and performance through optimisation of reagents and systems, thereby retaining customers to generate reagent order intake. The ultimate objective is to support customers throughout the entire customer journey whilst growing core reagent and product sales through market intelligence.\nThis position reports to the Applications Manager and is part of the UKI Sales Team, focusing on the South West region of the UK. The role is fully remote i.e. home-office based with travel to customer sites expected up to 80% of the time.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to undertake both applications and commercial tasks:\nApplications Tasks - Post Sales\nInstrument and software training for customers\nTroubleshooting and assisting customers with application issues \nCustomer support with assay optimisation, validation and verification\nCommercial Tasks - Pre Sales\nInstrument demonstrations \nAssist in preparation of tender technical responses and commercial bids\nSupport Account Manager in customer meetings and work closely with entire (local) Leica Biosystems team on business strategy to achieve increased sales.\nSupport at Trade Shows and Conferences.\nThe essential requirements of the job include:\nBA/BSc in Biomedical Science, Life Science or equivalent field.\nMultiple years’ strong experience in all areas of Histology.\nDetailed practical knowledge of primary/special staining, tissue processing, sectioning and immunohistochemistry techniques.\nExperience with optimisation, functionality and support of manual and automated histology methods, instruments and reagents, with a focus on troubleshooting and continuous improvement, using problem solving skills to identify customer needs and adapt support strategies to gain customer trust.\nStrong communication skills and commercial awareness - able to make presentations to different audiences (including C-suite), conduct training classes; act as brand ambassador to win competitive customers and support sales lead qualification.\nIt would be a plus if you also possess:\nRelevant experience in a technical, sales-oriented environment.\nTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:\nMust be willing to travel within their defined territory up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays, and attend customer sites, sales and related product meetings as required nationwide.\nMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.\nJoin our winning team today.
