Take your next step to an altogether life-changing career.\nLearn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.\nThe Automation Engineer is responsible for responsible for commissioning complex machines through the full production cycle including upgrades and servicing.\nThis position reports to the Integration Manager and is part of the Integration Team located in Burnaby, BC and will be an on-site role.\nWhat you will do:\nCommission machines through the full production cycle; system integration, FRT/CX, FAT and Pre-Shipping at our facility in Vancouver for multiple product lines.\nTravel to customer sites to perform SAT, Training, Qualification and Service support as necessary up to 30% of the time for multiple product lines\nProvide support to Cytiva engineers, technicians, and customers in the office or remotely in the field.\nTroubleshooting Electrical, Mechanical & Software issues on our products relying on previous team experience, established procedures, documentation and vendor assistance if necessary and contribute to building team knowledge.\nParticipate in after-hour customer support roster\nWho you are:\nA post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics\n1-2 years’ experience in programming, mechanical and/or electrical problem-solving skills\nTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:\nAbility to travel - must have a valid Canadian passport to travel across borders\nPosition may require up to 30% travel\nMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record\nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:\nUnderstanding of robotics, PLCs, HMIs, Historian, industrial networking or machine operation, lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Standard Work, Six Sigma with hands-on experience is highly desired\nCytiva, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
