This role guides critical design and technology decisions to improve instrument performance, reduce technical risk, and accelerate solutions that strengthen patient outcomes.\nThis position reports to the Principal Electrical Engineer and is part of the Systems R&D Software - IDC located in Bangalore and will be an on-site role.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:\nDefine electrical hardware architecture, leading its integration with mechanical and firmware systems across connectivity, compute, user interface, pressure, vibration, optics and thermal domains.\nInfluence components, topology, and technology selection through trade-off analyses involving performance, cost, power, size, EMI/EMC, and reliability.\nDefine critical-to-quality and critical-to-function parameters and quantify performance against requirements.\nAdvance technical roadmaps by evaluating alternative technologies and improving the robustness, reliability, and performance of critical subsystems.\nSupport diagnostic instruments and devices throughout their lifecycle by addressing regulatory compliance, field issues, yield improvements, and cost optimization.\nThe essential requirements of the job include:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, with 12+ years of experience in electrical hardware design and development for complex electromechanical products.\nExpertise in completing product certification for CE marking and electrical compliance standards such as IEC 61326-2-6 , IEC 61000-3-x, 60601-1-2 and IEC 61010-1, and FCC Part 15 Subpart B.\nHands-on proficiency with Cadence, Xpedition, or Altium design tool suites, including schematic design and printed circuit board layout review.\nExperience in designing and reviewing analog, digital, mixed-signal, power electronics, data-acquisition, and system power-distribution hardware.\nExperience in applying risk analysis, design FMEA, reliability engineering practices, signal and power integrity analysis, EMI/EMC compliance and hardware verification.\nTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:\nAbility to travel as required and collaborate with global internal and external stakeholders.\nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:\nBoard-level circuit design experience with FPGA-based embedded systems for motion control and/or data acquisition, including RTL development using Verilog or VHDL, is preferred.\nPrior experience with electronic hardware development for PCR or molecular diagnostic instruments is preferred.\nJoin our winning team today.
