This role provides advanced technical contribution across the hardware development lifecycle, including architecture definition, circuit design, board-level implementation, verification, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this engineer independently drives complex technical solutions, supports critical product decisions, and contributes to product performance, reliability, and compliance objectives.\nThis position reports to the Sr Director, Instrument Hardware and is part of the Hardware Engineering department located in Irvine, CA and will be an on-site role.\nIn This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:\nDesign and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for medical device applications.\nSupport hardware development activities across the engineering lifecycle, including schematic design, implementation, verification, and sustaining engineering.\nCollaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to integrate hardware solutions into finished products.\nParticipate in design reviews and contribute technical input during major project milestones.\nSupport product and component failure investigations and recommend corrective design improvements.\nThe Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:\nB.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with 6+ years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting.\nStrong experience in analog and digital circuit design.\nExperience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.\nExperience supporting PCB layout, board bring-up, and high-speed design methodologies.\nFamiliarity with full product development lifecycle from concept through production.\nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:\nExperience designing within medical devices or other regulated product development environments. \nFamiliarity with IEC 60601-1 and related compliance standards.\nExperience supporting EMC/EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting.\nExposure to signal integrity and power integrity concepts.\nExperience with electrical simulation tools such as PSPICE, Multisim, or equivalent.\nMasimo, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
