This role is a key technical contributor within the Systems Test Engineering organization, developing automation solutions that improve test efficiency, reliability, repeatability, and coverage.\nThe position reports to the Sr Manager, Systems Software Test and is part of the Software Test Engineering department located in Irvine, CA and will be an on-site role.\nIn This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and support infrastructure for instrument and system-level testing.\nDevelop reusable test libraries, device interfaces, protocol libraries, utilities, and common automation components across instrument platforms and downstream system integrations.\nCollaborate with development teams during product design to improve system testability, observability, interfaces, communication protocols, and diagnostic capabilities.\nMentor engineers contributing to the automation codebase and establish best practices for software architecture, code quality, maintainability, and reuse.\nParticipate in technical design and code reviews and provide technical leadership for test automation initiatives.\nThe Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:\nB.S. Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n5+ years of experience in software development, test automation, software verification, or a related engineering discipline.\nStrong software development experience with Python, including object-oriented programming, debugging, and development of reusable software components. \nExperience designing and maintaining automated test frameworks or substantial automation infrastructure. \nExperience testing microservice-based software systems with a distributed network topology, in on-prem, cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), or hybrid deployments.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD systems, and modern software development practices.\nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:\nExperience with medical devices, embedded systems, or other regulated products. \nExperience interfacing with physical devices, laboratory equipment, or test instrumentation. \nFamiliarity with healthcare interoperability or messaging standards (e.g., HL7, WCTP) or other structured data/protocol formats.\nExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container/orchestration tooling (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).\nMasimo, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
