Take your next step to an altogether life-changing career.\nLearn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.\nThe Custom Projects Scientist is responsible for leading customer-focused diagnostic service projects and acting as the scientific interface between customers and Cytiva’s Diagnostics business. The role combines project leadership, laboratory execution, scientific consulting, and technical reporting to deliver high-quality service offerings that support customer success.\nThis position reports to the Team Leader - Membranes and Diagnostic Applications with a dotted line to Diagnostics Services Leader and is part of the Diagnostics Services Team located in Dassel, Germany and will be an on-site role.\nWhat you will do:\nLead customer-driven service projects from initial inquiry through project completion focusing especially on the execution part.\nServe as the primary scientific point of contact for customers requesting new diagnostic and assay development projects.\nDefine project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders.\nExecute laboratory experiments and analytical studies required to support customer projects.\nAnalyze experimental data and generate comprehensive customer-facing technical reports and recommendations.\nWho you are:\nMaster's degree (M.Sc.) in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.\nExperience leading customer-facing scientific or technical projects within diagnostics, life sciences, biotechnology, CRO, or related industries.\nDemonstrated experience preparing project proposals, defining project scope, establishing timelines, and managing customer expectations.\nExperience performing hands-on laboratory work involving biomolecular analysis, assay development, protein characterization, or related techniques.\nExperience analyzing scientific data and preparing professional technical reports for external customers.\nFluent in German and English.\nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:\nSurface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technologies and data interpretation.\nDiagnostic assay development, immunoassays, molecular diagnostics, or biomarker characterization.\nWorking directly with external customers in a service, applications, consulting, or contract research environment.\nCytiva, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
