Take your next step to an altogether life-changing career.\nLearn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.\nThe EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily implementation of EHS programs and compliance activities, including field inspections, risk assessments, corrective action tracking, EHS documentation, training, incident investigation, and environmental and chemical safety management.\nThis position reports to the Site EHS Leader and is part of the EHS team located at the Cytiva Songdo Site in Incheon, South Korea, and will be an on-site role.\nEmployment Term\nThis position is offered under a 12-month fixed-term contract. Permanent employment may be considered based on business needs, budget, performance, and internal approval but is not guaranteed. The contract will expire at the end of the agreed term unless extended in writing.\nWhat you will do\n· Implement site EHS policies, procedures, and programs, and conduct field inspections, Gemba walks, audits, and workplace risk assessments.\n· Identify unsafe conditions and regulatory gaps, track corrective and preventive actions, and stop work when serious uncontrolled risks are identified.\n· Support occupational health and environmental compliance activities, including medical examinations, exposure monitoring, wastewater, waste, air emissions, odor, and regulatory reporting.\n· Manage chemical and hazardous material safety activities, including chemical approval, risk assessment, labeling, storage, containment, workplace inspections, and emergency controls.\n· Coordinate EHS training, incident and near-miss investigations, EHS documentation and metrics, emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities.\nSupport additional EHS activities, site start-up initiatives, and ad hoc projects as required to support business and operational needs.\nWho you are\n· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in occupational safety, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, industrial engineering, life sciences, or a related field.\n· 1+ years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, laboratory, or other regulated industry environments.\n· Experience conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and contractor safety management.\n· Experience supporting compliance with Korean occupational safety, environmental, chemical, waste, and hazardous material regulations; relevant EHS certifications are preferred.\n· Professional proficiency in written and spoken Korean and English, with experience using Microsoft Office or EHS management systems for documentation, data tracking, and reporting.\nTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Language/Environment Requirements\nFluent level of English & Korean in written and verbal communications \nAbility to travel abroad upon business needs \nMust have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record within territory or locations \nIf foreign national, legal work permit is required to pursue employment contract by Korean immigration law \nAbility to lift, move, or carry personal protective equipment (PPE) weighing up to 15 kg and meet any other physical requirements applicable to the role.\nWhere required for job placement, selected candidates must undergo a pre-placement health examination in accordance with applicable laws and company procedures.\nCytiva, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
