Together, we’re pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.\nJOB SUMMARY:\nManufacturing engineer is responsible for maintenance of assigned product lines, which mainly includes process buildup and improvement, troubleshooting and daily support for manufacturing activities, analysis of both customers’ quality issues and internal quality issues, vendor quality issues improvement, support for localization and saving projects and support for new product introduction.\nKEY RESPONSBILITIES:\nManage (define, verify and implement) subassembly / system assembling and testing procedures in manufacturing - including defining and optimizing test software\nCustomer complaint investigation, responsible for product quality improvement and improving external quality performance (OBQ & Warranty)\nInvestigate and resolve any quality issue during manufacturing.\nDrive for solving vendor quality issues and vendor quality performance improvement\nEvaluate/initiate and implement engineering change requests.\nProvide engineering support to manufacturing for external/internal quality issues, last time buy (LTB), line down issues and cost reduction projects (e.g. LCR, VAVE).\nCoordinate and perform tests which cover performance characterization, specification verification, and compliance to safety, EMC, environmental and reliability requirements on new and existing products\nParticipate NPI projects at early stage, mainly contribute from manufacturing perspective (e.g. MFG process capability, LCR suppliers’ technical capability, minor design outsourcing), and bridge the NPI process between R&D and Operation.\nManagement of Manufacturing Prototype phase and Pilot phases during new product introductions\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nOptical, Electronicalor Mechanical Bachelor degree or above\n3+ years’ experience related to instrument manufacturing, including assembly and testing, and the instrument should include at least two portions of mechanical, electronical and optical parts\nGood understanding of engineering principles of the responsible instruments\nGood logical analysis and communicationcapability, familiar with problem solving tools (e.g. PSP, DMAIC)\nFamiliar with using various optical, electronical or mechanical test and measurement tools\nGood spoken and written English, capable of having meetings in English independently\nGood communication skill and team-worker\nWilling to work with design team in Europe and US\nWilling to travel domestically or overseas\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nJob experiences in bio-analytical instruments manufacturing (assembly and testing)is preferred\nStrong debug and troubleshooting experience in electronical component/PCBA level would be a plus\nExperience inintroducing new products to manufacturing\nExperience in Optical & Mechanical & Electronical system design would be a plus\nExperience in writing and supporting test software development/improvement would be a plus\nCULTURE: The right candidate for this role will embody both the Molecular Devices and Danaher culture.
