Take your next step to an altogether life-changing career.\nLearn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.\nThe Project Manager manages multiple cross-functional projects supporting R&D, new product introductions, product development, and continuous improvement. The role might support as a local coordination lead for technical teams at the UK site, helping align priorities, remove execution barriers, resolve issues, and identify innovative ways to solve problems.\nThis position reports into the Global Central R&D Functions group, has a dotted-line relationship to the senior R&D lead at the UK site. The role is located in Portsmouth, Harbourgate and is an on-site role.\nWhat you will do:\nCoordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, product management, and other relevant functions whilst leading multiple technical projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business objectives.\nServe as the site coordination liaison, translating local requests and business priorities into clear actions, accountable owners, deliverables, and execution plans for technical teams.\nFacilitate project reviews, decision-making, and structured problem-solving sessions to maintain progress and accountability.\nIdentify risks, resource constraints, and execution barriers early; develop mitigation plans and escalate issues when leadership support is required.\nProvide clear, timely updates or escalation needs to project sponsors, functional leaders, and key stakeholders; capture lessons learned and improve project management practices, technical workflows, and ways of working.\nWho you are:\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, life sciences, chemistry, bioprocessing, biotechnology, or a related technical discipline.\nRelevant experience managing technical, R&D, product development, engineering, or operational improvement projects in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.\nDemonstrated knowledge of project planning, resource management, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.\nAbility to guide teams, facilitate decisions, resolve roadblocks, and drive work to completion without direct reporting authority.\nFluent written and spoken English capability.\nTravel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:\nPeriodic travel will be required for projects and project related events. \nIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:\nUnderstanding of Danaher Business System tools, including Visual Project Management and Problem Solving Process (PSP), and familiarity with the Project Life Cycle process.\nPMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or an equivalent project management certification, plus experience with new product introduction or stage-gate product development in a regulated industry.\nFamiliarity with quality management systems such as Veeva or Magic and experience working with both local site teams and global functions.\nCytiva, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
