This role offers hands-on experience in re-designing, testing, and optimizing electronic systems for current and next-generation medical devices. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on projects that blend technical challenges with real-world impact, gaining valuable skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct alternative component testing, validation of prototypes, analyzing performance, and identifying areas for improvement.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams: software, mechanical, and regulatory.\nSupport troubleshooting and debugging of hardware issues using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.\nAssist in the re-design and development of electronic circuits and systems for medical devices, including schematic capture, PCB layout, identifying alternates for end-of-life components, obsolescence or logistical constraints.\nContribute to documentation, including design specifications, test reports and reviews.\nParticipate in brainstorming sessions and propose innovative solutions to enhance device functionality, yield improvements, or reliability.\nQualifications:\nCurrent enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.\nBasic understanding of analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.\nFamiliarity with schematic capture and PCB CAD tools for circuit design and simulation.\nHands-on experience with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, signal generators) is a plus.\nStrong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders.\nInterest in medical device development and a passion for improving healthcare technology.\nWhat We Offer:\nMeaningful projects that directly contribute to the development of life-changing medical devices.\nMentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to the full product development lifecycle.\nA collaborative, inclusive work environment that values creativity and innovation.\nOpportunities to develop technical skills and gain insights into regulatory and compliance processes.\nThe hourly pay for this role is $30.
