{"id":2875285,"url":"https://alion.io/job/danfoss-distribution-technician-1st-shift","title":"Distribution Technician / 1st Shift","company":{"id":452335,"name":"Danfoss","domain":"danfoss.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/danfoss-6","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Career sitemap","truth_index":null},"role":"Field & Service","role_family":"Field & Service","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"explicit","locations":["Shawnee, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":35000,"max_usd":78000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":18483},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":true,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Kanban","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-19T21:10:55Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-19","last_verified_at":"2026-10-22T15:35:45Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":2,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":2},"description":"The Impact You'll Make\nThis individual will package, kit and/or ship products and materials, receive products and materials, audit materials and processes for quality, ensure inventory integrity, perform a variety of material handling and related data entry activities, and prepare necessary distribution-related documents.\nThis is a 1st Shift position.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nEfficiently and safely perform a variety of material handling activities including loading/unloading freight, stacking and moving palletized materials, storing and retrieving materials from vertical storage racks\nPackage, label, move, and complete required documentation in response to a variety of distribution types of instructions\nPerform operations 80 activities: including adding plugs, seals, removing paint over spray, and ensuring all motors are up to Danfoss’s quality standards before shipping to Danfoss customers\nResolve allocation/shortage problems by working effectively with schedulers and others (both Danfoss people and external suppliers), as required\nPerform a variety of shipping activities including scheduling of freight carriers and ensuring that all goods and paperwork (including domestic and export documentation) is accurate and complete per customer orders\nCommunicate effectively with customers to address and resolve shipping-related problems\nReceive inbound freight and expedited shipments and MRO/Commodity deliveries, ensure documents are complete and accurate, distribute documents and notify recipients per established procedures, and ensure proper data entry into necessary computerized data base(s)\nGenerate kit orders from customer orders & kanban demand, then build/assemble/package kit orders, pulling parts and prioritizing activities per manual and computerized order requirements.\nMonitor stock levels against order requirements and take appropriate actions to resolve allocation & shortage problems\nPerform audit, inventory location assignments, cycle counting and other audit and control activities to effectively maintain accuracy of required inventories\nPerform housekeeping duties on each shift along with provisional standards meeting 5-S requirements\nPerform tasks as necessary to meet other ELS requirement, i.e. set-up reduction, CFM, error proofing, etc.\nPerform procedures necessary to ensure compliance with the Danfoss Safety Process and ensure the personal safety of the incumbent including eye safety, hearing conservation, machine safety guards, ergonomic movement, lock out/tag out, MSDS procedures and OHSA regulations\nAssist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing departmental and plant goals\nMeet standards as communicated by supervisor\nWhat We're Looking For\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution\nMinimum of eight (8) months distribution experience similar to packaging/shipping/receiving\nNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
