Working closely with engineering specialists and external development partners, you’ll influence product reliability, connectivity, cybersecurity, and quality throughout the product lifecycle.\nBased on-site in Kolding, you’ll join a collaborative R&D environment where your embedded expertise has a visible impact on physical products used in energy-efficient buildings.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDevelop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller-based thermostats and controllers, delivering reliable product improvements, new functionality, and defect corrections.\nIntegrate and update communication technologies, software libraries, and third-party components while protecting product stability, connectivity, and cybersecurity.\nReview and validate firmware from external development partners, turning product requirements into clear technical expectations and release-ready solutions.\nInvestigate and resolve firmware issues across software, electronics, connectivity, production, and field operation to keep products performing reliably throughout their lifecycle.\nCollaborate across product management, electronics, applications, quality, verification, and compliance, helping turn technical decisions into successful product releases\nWhat We're Looking For\nPractical experience developing embedded software in C or C++ for microcontroller-based products.\nHands-on capability in embedded debugging, troubleshooting, source control, software maintenance, and controlled firmware releases.\nAbility to translate requirements into firmware solutions and to review, challenge, test, and validate software implementations.\nFamiliarity with connected-product technologies and protocols such as Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy, Thread, Matter, or comparable technologies.\nClear English communication and strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with external development partners and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nBe part of a down-to-earth engineering environment where ideas are welcomed, decisions are made close to the technology, and you can see the results of your work in real products.\nYou’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
