Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking a Product Engineer to join our Engineering team in Brooklyn, Ohio.\nThis position is responsible for supporting the development, testing, and continuous improvement of industrial clutch and brake products. Reporting within the Engineering organization, the Product Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development, resolve product performance issues, and support ongoing product enhancements that improve quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nCreate and maintain mechanical designs, engineering drawings, and product documentation for industrial clutch and brake products.\nPerform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analyses, and design verification activities for new product development and product changes.\nDevelop and execute verification and validation test plans, analyze engineering data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to internal stakeholders and customers.\nManage engineering change processes, maintain product design control, and ensure accurate and complete technical documentation.\nInvestigate and resolve product performance issues using structured problem-solving methodologies, including root cause analysis and 8D processes.\nProvide technical support and collaborate with internal teams including Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Service, as well as external customers and suppliers.\nLead and execute engineering projects focused on cost reduction, supplier qualification, process improvements, product quality enhancements, reliability improvements, and new feature development.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and relevant engineering experience.\n3 to 5 years of product engineering, design engineering, or test engineering experience.\nExperience performing engineering analysis, validation testing, and technical problem solving.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nExperience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.\nKnowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, clutch, and brake systems.\nUnderstanding of machining, manufacturing processes, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.\nStrong hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nDemonstrated experience supporting new product development initiatives.\nJob Criteria\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.\nAbility to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.\nSelf-directed and results-oriented with strong project management skills.\nAbility to balance independent decision-making with seeking input from stakeholders when appropriate.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to engineering documentation and data quality.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project objectives and deadlines.\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
