The Impact You'll Make

Are you passionate about creating a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace? Danfoss is seeking an EHS Manager to provide environmental, health, safety, and facilities leadership at our manufacturing site.

This position is responsible for driving site-wide compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and Danfoss global EHS standards while fostering a strong safety culture. The EHS Manager will partner with site leadership to establish EHS strategies, achieve business objectives, maintain ISO certifications, oversee facility maintenance activities, and engage employees in creating a world-class safety and environmental program.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead the site's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS goals, objectives, key performance indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives that support a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify critical environmental and safety risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate hazards and improve site performance.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements, and ensure accurate regulatory reporting and recordkeeping.
  • Manage and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety Management Systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, audits, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, workers' compensation reporting, corrective actions, and near-miss reporting to reduce risk and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs, maintain training matrices, and ensure employees receive required safety and compliance training.
  • Collaborate with site leadership, employees, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies to drive EHS engagement, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee facility maintenance activities, site security programs, and ensure critical EHS operational controls are effectively managed and maintained.
  • Support crisis management activities and serve as a key point of contact during environmental, health, safety, or facility-related events.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
  • Experience managing regulatory audits, certifications, and corrective action programs.

  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and training skills with the ability to influence all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the interpretation of EHS performance metrics and trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and gain commitment from employees, leadership teams, regulatory agencies, customers, and vendors.
