{"id":2284859,"url":"https://alion.io/job/danfoss-procurement-engineer-proto","title":"Procurement Engineer, Proto","company":{"id":452335,"name":"Danfoss","domain":"danfoss.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/danfoss-6","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Career sitemap","truth_index":null},"role":"Operations","role_family":"Operations","seniority":"junior","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["China"],"countries":["CN"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":13500,"max_usd":33000,"period":"year","method":"global_role_cell_scaled_by_country","sample_n":2576},"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-11T13:23:22Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-11","last_verified_at":"2026-10-12T03:22:17Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":0,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":0},"description":"The Impact You'll Make\nFully responsible for end-to-end procurement management of all prototype materials, standard parts, custom non-standard components and outsourced machining services for the global prototyping center; control procurement lead time, cost and quality, develop and manage supplier resources to guarantee smooth delivery of all sampling projects.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nPrototype Material & Outsourcing Procurement Execution\nGather prototype material requirements and technical specifications; identify raw materials, standard parts, custom machined parts and outsourcing demands.\n\nSend RFQs, compare quotation, lead time and quality capability, select suppliers and release POs.\n\nTrack order delivery, resolve shortages, delays and processing bottlenecks, and escalate procurement risks proactively.\n\nSupplier Development & Management\nDevelop and manage qualified domestic and overseas suppliers for metal stock, standard parts, CNC outsourcing, surface treatment and rapid prototyping; conduct supplier audits and maintain supplier database.\n\nEvaluate suppliers regularly on delivery, quality, cost and service; phase out poor performers and develop alternative suppliers.\n\nNegotiate price, payment terms and technical agreements to secure favorable trial production pricing and reduce sampling cost.\n\nProcurement Quality & Technical Coordination\nCommunicate drawings, tolerances, material grades and surface standards to suppliers; support clarification of special machining and assembly requirements.\n\nCooperate on incoming inspection, handle non-conforming materials, and drive supplier rework, replacement or compensation.\n\nCollect supplier feedback on processing constraints and support prototype design and process optimization.\n\nProcurement Cost & Inventory Control\nMonitor material and outsourcing costs; support cost reduction through bidding, consolidated ordering and material standardization.\n\nManage consumables, cutting tools, assembly auxiliaries and standard part safety stock to prevent overstock and shortages.\n\nMaintain procurement cost records and provide cost data for operational reporting.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Material Science or related majors\nMinimum 2 years of procurement experience in precision machinery prototype, CNC outsourcing or hardware parts industry, familiar with mechanical processing technology preferred.\nAble to read mechanical 2D drawings and basic GD&T requirements, understand common metal materials, surface treatment processes and precision outsourcing processing standards.\nFamiliar with the whole procurement process including supplier development, quotation comparison, order tracking and incoming quality complaint handling.\nSkilled in cost negotiation, supplier evaluation and risk control; able to balance lead time, quality and procurement cost.\nBasic English communication capability to negotiate with overseas suppliers and read English technical specifications.\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nWe promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.\nYou’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
