These observations may result in generation of non-conforming communications, documentation within established Quality records and the containment of that product. Support of process and product audits are also in scope within this position. This position reports to the associated Quality Manager.\nThis is a 3rd Shift position.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nSupport inspections for incoming and in-process components and the maintenance of the associated records\nUtilization of gaging, tools and measuring equipment required for inspection support.\nReading blueprint drawings and specifications to ensure that product meets the standards\nLead the containment activities on line and support process of NCM.\nPerform audits of assmebly lines and machining areas ensuring that Standard Works are being followed \nEvaluation of nonconforming product/materials and identification of nonconformance in proper controlled area.\nCompliance of all safety rules and maintenance of proper housekeeping using 5S techniques\nCompliance to all Danfoss policies, procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals, and environmental well-being\nPerform audit of products before they are shipped.\nWhat We're Looking For\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred\nTwo (2) to three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nKnowledge of handheld inspection tools, micrometers, calipers, thread gages\nBasic understanding of engineering drawings including basic GD&T\nOne-year certificate from college or technical school preferred\nComputer skills specifically Microsoft Office\nAdditional Responsibilities and Physical Demands\nAttendance: High expectations for timeliness and communication of absences for preapproval. Ability to work occasional overtime\nSafety: Follows safety & housekeeping standards and procedures, uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), awareness and concern for the safety of others\nQuality: Follows standard work procedures, self acknowledges and corrects mistakes, works to avoid errors and get it right the first time\nProductivity: Ability to meet or exceed productivity goals, manages time wisely, stays on task requiring little supervision to get the job done\nTeamwork: respects others, shares information, gives & receives feedback, works interdependently with co-workers to accomplish team goals. Works with others to resolve conflicts and promote positive work environmentPhysical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as well as lift large components in a safe manner.\n*While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee has the potential to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is at a level the company recommends hearing protection.
