This person will drive continuous improvement and ensure product and process excellence through the implementation and oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS). This role supports manufacturing operations, leads structured problem-solving efforts, and ensures compliance with quality standards and certifications.\nThe Quality Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues, support new product launches, and maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent product quality and process performance.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for plant quality issues, including facilitating 8D problem-solving teams and verifying implementation of permanent solutions\nIdentify and drive quality improvement initiatives aligned with plant and organizational objectives\nInterface with customers to resolve quality concerns, including managing returns, credits, and complaints\nSupport new product launches through participation in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and completion of PPAP submissions\nMaintain and update quality documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, and process data tracking systems\nSupport ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications, including audits, compliance activities, and document control\nProvide training to employees on quality tools, procedures, and standards\nPerform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R studies and maintain measurement equipment\nCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams on quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives\nPrepare and present internal and external quality reports and performance metrics\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering OR equivalent experience (5+ years quality engineering experience with 10+ years manufacturing experience and active pursuit of an engineering degree)\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards\nExperience with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, DOE, APQP, and 8D\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a quality engineering or manufacturing role\nInternship or project experience in quality control, process improvement, or manufacturing operations (for entry-level candidates)\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification\nExperience in extrusion or hose manufacturing environments\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nAt Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making.
