As a Senior Development Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the power electronics hardware that enables efficient, reliable, and high-performance energy systems across industries driving the global energy transition.\nBased in Vaasa, Finland, with a hybrid work model, you will lead the design of main circuit architectures used in advanced power conversion products supporting applications such as energy storage, renewable energy integration, data centers, EV charging infrastructure, marine electrification, industrial power systems, and microgrids.\nWorking alongside experts in electronics, software, mechanics, testing, manufacturing, and sourcing, you will turn system requirements into innovative hardware solutions and help bring future-ready technologies from concept to market.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nLeadthe development of power conversion main circuit architectures to deliver reliable and high-performing product solutions.\nDesignpower electronic circuits, including inverter, rectifier, DC/DC converter, and grid-interface topologies, to meet customer and system requirements.\nEvaluate and specifycritical power components while collaborating with suppliers to ensure technology readiness, quality, and long-term product success.\nPerformelectrical analysis, simulation, testing, and troubleshooting activities to optimize efficiency, reliability, safety, and performance.\nCollaborateacross engineering disciplines and mentor colleagues to drive integrated solutions and successful product delivery.\nWhat We're Looking For\nStrong expertise in power electronics design, including AC/DC, DC/AC, and DC/DC conversion technologies.\nExperience developing high-power electronic systems, industrial drives, or power conversion equipment.\nKnowledge of power semiconductor technologies such as IGBT, SiC, MOSFET, and related gate drive concepts.\nHands-on experience with simulation and modeling tools such as PLECS, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, Ansys, or similar platforms.\nAbility to solve complex technical challenges while balancing performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost in a collaborative international environment.\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nAt Danfoss, you will contribute to technologies that support electrification and help accelerate the global transition to more sustainable energy systems.\nYou will work with experienced specialists and industry-leading experts across power electronics, energy storage, renewable energy integration, grid infrastructure, and industrial electrification.
