You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to embedded systems, automated testing, production tools, and modern software technologies.\nThis is an opportunity to make a visible impact by shaping product performance, reliability, cybersecurity, and customer success while mentoring others and helping drive engineering excellence across the team.\nThis is an in-person position based in our Turbocor Global Headquarter in Tallahassee, FL.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain embedded C/C++ software for advanced compressor control systems, contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.\nPartner with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to develop, verify, troubleshoot, and optimize software and hardware solutions.\nStrengthen software quality by promoting best practices in requirements traceability, testing, documentation, version control, and software configuration management.\nProvide technical leadership in embedded cybersecurity, helping ensure compliance with industry standards and secure product development practices.\nSupport a variety of software platforms, including embedded real-time systems, industrial communications, engineering support tools, automated testing systems, and production applications.\nMentor team members, share technical expertise, and help build a collaborative culture focused on continuous learning and innovation.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of software development experience with C/C++, including 3+ years of embedded software development.\nExperience working with embedded systems, debugging complex applications, and troubleshooting software issues.\nProficiency with development environments such as Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio, Eclipse, or similar IDEs.\nExperience using Git or other software configuration management and version control tools.\nStrong understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and database concepts.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nFlexibility to work across different technologies and environments as business needs evolve, with the ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.Preferred Experience\n\nExperience developing C/C++ applications in Linux environments.\nKnowledge of embedded Linux, board bring-up, kernel drivers, U-Boot, and multi-core system-on-module platforms.\nExperience using oscilloscopes and communication protocol analyzers, including I2C, SPI, and SCI.\nFamiliarity with software design patterns and cybersecurity standards for industrial devices, such as IEC 62443.\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nWe promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.\nYou’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
