Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Tactical Buyer to play a key role in the daily purchasing of direct material from external suppliers. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be organized and able to work in a very high paced environment. This position will be in Brooklyn, Ohio and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager of the site. This is an onsite position with a salary range of 70-80K based on experience and industry knowledge.\nITAR Compliance Notice:This position requires use of or access to information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nManaging and optimizing day-to-day purchasing processes for a group of suppliers. \nPlacing Purchase Orders to ensure arrival of material to support production and customer needs. \nMonitoring Purchase Orders and following up on orders that are past due. \nCreating Inbound Deliveries in a timely manner to support a smooth receiving process. \nMonitor exception message reports, and work with suppliers to move Purchase Order dates when forecasts are adjusted. \nUncover and report any issues in the supply chain (stock losses, incorrect forecasts, abnormal demands, and safety stock adjustments). \nProvide updates to Customer Service and Schedulers on when direct material is expected to arrive. \nReview and update parameters as needed (lead-time, minimum order quantities, order periods, order mulitples, etc). \nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nA Bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or similar field - or 3+ years of relevant experience in purchasing or supplier management.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with ERP systems (SAP)\n\nOrganized, proactive, and committed to treating the business like it’s your own\n\nAPICS certification\nWhat You'll Get from Us\nWe promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.\nYou’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
