The role supports preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, generators, lighting systems, and other electrical assets within the plant.\nThe successful candidate must possess sound electrical maintenance knowledge, fault-finding expertise, and the ability to safely execute electrical maintenance activities in a heavy industrial or process plant environment.\nKey Responsibilities / Critical Tasks\n1. Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance\nCarry out routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on electrical equipment, machinery, and power distribution systems to ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability.\n2. Install and Commission Electrical Equipment\nInstall, test, and commission electrical systems, motors, transformers, switchboards, MCCs, control panels, and associated equipment in accordance with engineering specifications.\n3. Troubleshoot Electrical Faults\nIdentify, diagnose, and rectify electrical faults on plant equipment, power systems, motors, control circuits, and auxiliary systems to minimize downtime.\n4. Inspect and Maintain Power Distribution Systems\nConduct inspections and maintenance of transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, distribution panels, cable networks, and protection systems to ensure safe operation.\n5. Test Electrical Equipment and Components\nPerform insulation resistance testing, continuity checks, voltage testing, motor testing, and other electrical diagnostic activities using appropriate test instruments.\n6. Maintain Maintenance Records\nDocument maintenance activities, equipment inspections, faults, repairs, and spare parts utilization in maintenance management systems and departmental records.\n7. Ensure Compliance with Safety Standards\nComply strictly with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical isolation procedures, PPE requirements, and all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.\nBasic Technical Competencies and Skills\nThe ideal candidate should demonstrate competency in:\nElectrical installation and maintenance practices.\nMaintenance of electric motors and motor control systems.\nTroubleshooting of electrical faults and equipment failures.\nKnowledge of transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and power distribution systems.\nReading and interpretation of electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.\nUse of electrical test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, meggers, and insulation testers.\nPreventive and predictive maintenance techniques.\nCable termination, glanding, and electrical panel maintenance.\nKnowledge of industrial electrical safety procedures and standards.\nBasic understanding of PLCs, instrumentation, and automation systems.\nGood analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective communication and teamwork abilities.\nQualification and Experience\nEducational Qualification\nNational Diploma (ND) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline;\nOR\nTrade Test Grade I, II, and III in Electrical Installation, Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Trade, or a related field.\nProfessional Certification (Added Advantage)\nElectrical Installation Certification.\nIndustrial Electrical Maintenance Certification.\nHSE Certification.\nPLC and Motor Control Training.\nElectrical Safety and Isolation Certification.\nExperience\nMinimum of three (3) years' industrial experience in electrical maintenance, power distribution, industrial automation support, manufacturing operations, fertilizer plants, petrochemical facilities, power generation, cement plants, or similar industrial environments.\nProven experience in maintaining motors, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, generators, and plant electrical infrastructure will be an added
