Working a rotating double day shift pattern and reporting to the Engineering Shift Team Leader, you’ll help minimise production downtime through quick response times and proactive maintenance.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nThe successful candidate will:\nProvide hands-on maintenance support across butchery, curing and sealing equipment, including fault finding, repairs and improvements. \nCarry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment reliability. \nWork closely with Production, Hygiene and Quality teams to support production targets and line performance. \nEnsure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP and HACCP requirements. \nMaintain records within the CMMS system and contribute to initiatives that improve performance and reduce downtime. \nWhat You'll Bring\nExperience\nPrevious experience maintaining industrial production equipment, with particular strength in electrical fault finding and problem solving, ideally with exposure to meat production, food processing or other fast-paced manufacturing environments.\nStrong diagnostic and fault-finding experience across production machinery and automated equipment.\nExperience working with drives, motors, sensors, controls and industrial machinery.\nExperience responding to breakdowns, carrying out preventative maintenance and supporting continuous improvement activities.\nComfortable supporting both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities within a fast-paced production environment.\nTechnical Skills\nRecognised Engineering qualification in Electrical, Multi-Skilled or a related engineering discipline.\nStrong fault-finding capability and a methodical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.\nExperience working on processing, packaging or manufacturing equipment.\nKnowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems would be advantageous.\nGood understanding of preventative maintenance and equipment reliability practices.\nPersonal Qualities\nPositive and proactive attitude.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nCalm under pressure.\nHighly organised with good attention to detail.\nCommitted to maintaining high standards of safety, food quality and engineering excellence.\nWhy Join Danish Crown UK?\nSalary up to £47,000 depending on experience\n5% matched pension contribution\nLife assurance worth 4x annual salary\nMedicash health plan\n28 days holiday plus bank holidays\nOvertime paid at 1.5x rate when required\nSubsidised on-site canteen\nFree on-site parking\nStaff discounts, staff sales and seasonal product giveaways\nRegular scheduled Fridays off throughout the year as part of the shift pattern, creating additional long weekends and supporting work-life balance\nOngoing training and development opportunities\nCareer progression within a global food manufacturing business\nAbout us\nDanish Crown UK is a business built on trust, teamwork and ambition.
