As an Editor at Darkroom, your primary duty will be to develop and assist in the development of marketing collateral, including video content and organic content. Our Editors add immense value to our client's work through native content and strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about using their editing skills to tell a compelling story and help our customers grow their businesses.\nThis is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone and is open to candidates based in Brazil, Portugal, and Spain.\nWho You Are:\nExperience creating platform native content (including video content and organic content), especially IG Reels, Meta ads, and TikTok viral video campaigns\n\nExceptional time management and organization skills with the ability to manage deliverables across an array of brands\n\nStrong Motion Graphics/ Graphic Design/ Typography skills required\n\nProficient in Adobe Premiere Pro + FCPX\n\nWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Media Encoder, After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop)\n\nFamiliarity with broadcast finishing workflows (mix, color, VFX, conform, online)\n\nFamiliarity working in a networked server environment\n\nStrong technical knowledge of codecs and transcoding practices\n\nStrong time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment\n\nStrong communication skills\n\nProficient with animation/ graphic design preferred\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nYou will be editing UGC-style videos in a variety of content formats\n\nDevelop and execute thumb-stopping social media video edits, layer audio seamlessly and overlay text that drives key brand messaging\n\nBrainstorm inventive edits and hooks that drive engagement, leverage new formats\n\nStay current on all social media platforms, ad offerings, content publishers, tools, trends, and best practices\n\nBe a creative collaborator: Have the ability to be the voice of the brand and the influencer to create content that is authentic and powerful for all channels\n\nBe comfortable using video editing software, editing audio, and taking editing direction, while working in a fast pace environment\n\nProvide accessible content that includes closed captioning, voiceover, and overlay text in a variety of aspect ratios\n\nSetting up projects for edit staff\n\nIngesting and logging footage\n\nWorking in tandem with edit staff to meet deadlines\n\nEditing lower-level projects\n\nMaintaining media storage (hard drives, servers, GDrive)\n\nMastering deliverables and archiving projects\n\nAssisting senior staff with edit and administrative needs\n\nVersioning various aspect ratios of completed edits\n\nMaintaining all software and assets (Mac OSX, server operating system, frame.io, Vimeo, shared assets)\n\nCoordinating and troubleshooting edit equipment\n\nReporting to the Post-Production Supervisor and Producers, the AE will upon request create high-quality video edits that will span various media platforms\n\nPerformance creative editing (collaborating with the performance marketing team in reviewing ad analytics/performance)\n\nWorking at Darkroom\nDarkroom is not a typical agency.
