may operate water tube boiler, coal, gas, or wood-fired boilers.\nChecks reverse osmosis unit.\nMonitors feed water, boiler water, water softener, and water treatment unit.\nAdd chemicals on a daily basis. \nMonitors oil temperature in turbine bearings; measures oil in underground storage tanks.\nPerforms daily greasing and oiling.\nConducts coal inventory; keeps area around coal hopper clean.\nAssures equipment and work area is clean after each shift. \nMaintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.\nMinimum Qualifications\nMinimum 1-2 years prior experience in boiler operation and/or rendering facility.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred.\nKnowledge of water tube boilers, principles of combustion, water composition, and steam generation.\nBasic math skills;
