We are looking for Cloud Engineers to design, deploy, and operate the infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) layer of the Outscale cloud in Houston, TX or in Secaucus, NJ.\nYou will work at the intersection of our Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and the underlying physical infrastructure, driving automation, expanding services to new regions, and ensuring the platform is secure, resilient, high performing, and compliant. You will partner with infrastructure development, automation, and operations teams to implement cloud best practices and deliver production ready, compliant cloud solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDeploy, operate, and maintain the OUTSCALE cloud platform, with a focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and security. \nBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, Packer, Jenkins, and related tools.\nAutomate and standardize deployments, upgrades, and regional expansions through repeatable and auditable release processes. \nImprove platform performance, resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency while contributing to its technical evolution. \nDefine and track SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and other key operational metrics. \nBuild and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, and the ELK Stack. \nIdentify and address performance issues, security risks, and single points of failure. \nLead incident investigations, conduct root-cause analyses, and participate in the on-call rotation. \nCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures, and lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions. \nCollaborate with engineering, security, product, support, vendor, and partner teams. \nSupport capacity planning and infrastructure roadmap development. \nEnsure compliance with internal security policies and applicable regulatory requirements\nMinimum Qualifications\n8-10 years of experience in infrastructure/cloud engineering \nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. \nStrong infrastructure virtualization and system administration skills \nGood working knowledge of AWS based infrastructure services \nProficiency in scripting and automation using Bash and Python 3. \nExpertise in infrastructure automation with SaltStack or Ansible; SaltStack experience is preferred. \nUS Citizenship required; eligibility for security clearance is a must for this role. \nPreferred Qualifications\nDeep understanding of networking fundamentals and physical and virtual compute, storage, and infrastructure technologies. \nExperience with data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance frameworks. \nWorking knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations. \nExperience administering HAProxy, NGINX, Redis, and database technologies. \nExperience with monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, and the ELK Stack. \nExperience with virtualization technologies such as QEMU, KVM, and VMware ESXi. \nHands-on experience with IaC and automation tools, including Terraform, Packer, and Jenkins. \nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with an automation-first mindset.\nInclusion statement\nIn order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions at 3DS are based on merit, qualifications and abilities. 3DS is committed to a policy of non-discrimination and equal opportunity for all employees and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or medical or common conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, familial status, national origin, ancestry, age (40 and above), disability, veteran status, military service, application for military service, genetic information, receipt of free medical care, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law. 3DS will make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with known disabilities, in accordance with applicable law.\nQualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with applicable state laws and local ordinances.
