This role will support automated testing of mature prototypes and data projects while working closely with software developers, DevOps engineers, QA personnel, and technical stakeholders to identify and resolve issues throughout the development lifecycle.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, execute, maintain, and automate test plans for software applications and data-processing projects.\nAnalyze test results, identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and work with development teams to drive defects through resolution.\nDesign and maintain automated testing solutions using modern test frameworks and CI/CD tools.\nSupport automated testing of mature prototypes and data projects prior to operational transition.\nDocument test results, defects, test coverage, and quality metrics.\nProgress toward independently executing assigned testing activities and delivering results by the six-month mid-program review.\nCollaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and transition partners to support software quality and release readiness.\n\nRequired Education, Skills, and Experience:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.\n5-10 years of professional test engineering or software quality assurance experience.\nStrong experience developing, executing, and automating software test plans.\nExperience with Cypress, CI/CD tools, PyTest, and/or similar automated testing frameworks.\nExperience troubleshooting software defects and analyzing test results to identify root causes.\nFamiliarity with automated testing of software prototypes, data-processing applications, or similar technical systems.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nSelf-driven with the ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and meet established deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams.\nDemonstrated ability to progressively assume independent responsibility for testing activities.\nActive Secret security clearance required.\nAbility to work in McLean, VA; Huntsville, AL; or remotely, as required by the program.\n\nData Intelligence, DI is an established small business that has supported the critical missions of our government clients since 2005.
