The current hourly rate is $19.61 per hour.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Audience Intelligence team is charged with providing KQED with the data needed to make data informed decisions. The team serves as the central data hub for the organization and works with a variety of departments including news, science, arts, marketing, foundations and audience development. The Audience Intelligence intern will have many responsibilities including the mining of data sets for insights, automation, facilitating predictive analytics, and supporting research. The intern will also have the lead on a project allowing them to complete the internship with a deliverable that can be used in their future job search.\nKQED envisions a public media organization with a culture that centers on human dignity, equity, and belonging. We help students and teachers thrive in 21st-century classrooms, and take people of all ages on journeys of exploration- exposing them to new people, places and ideas.\nThis role requires working inKQED's newly renovated headquarters and working in the field.\nEssential Functions:\nHelp develop new insights and analyses that inform organizational decisions and help us continue to engage our audiences\nSupport research projects by aggregating and analyzing data\nExecute quantitative analyses that translate data into actionable insights\nBuild visualizations that expose the health and performance of our products\nPresentation building for a variety of stakeholders\nOther Duties as assigned\nKnowledge/Experience Required:\nIntellectual curiosity for data-driven products\nExperience with data analysis and/or visualization\nExcellent writing, research, and communication skills\nStrong attention to detail\nProblem-solving acumen\nCapacity to balance multiple responsibilities\nAbility to work independently\nAt least some knowledge of SQL\nKnowledge/Experience Desired:\nBonus points for knowledge of Python or another programming language, dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, etc.), ETL tools, or databases.\nGrowth & Development Opportunities:\nAudience Intelligence interns have a huge impact on what we do.
