The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering Linux-based environments, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting secure, high-performance computing platforms.\n\nThis position involves maintaining and enhancing our OpenStack cloud infrastructure, collaborating with cybersecurity teams, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems.\n\nAs a member of the Data Machines Infrastructure team, responsibilities include:\nMonitoring and responding to hardware, software, and system outages across the platform.\nSupporting tenants and users of the OpenStack Cloud Platform by troubleshooting technical issues and responding to requests.\nImplementing cybersecurity remediations in collaboration with the cybersecurity team.\nInstalling, upgrading, configuring, and deploying applications across the platform.\nIntegrating new hardware into multiple compute clusters.\nSupporting system maintenance, software patching, performance monitoring, and research and development activities.\nReviewing and maintaining technical procedures, system configurations, and documentation.\n\nJoin us as we work to solve some of the industry's biggest challenges. Data Machines fosters a culture of professional growth and development in a collaborative, open environment.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nActive Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness and ability to obtain a CI polygraph.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\n12+ years of demonstrated experience administering Linux-based environments.\nExperience with Docker/Podman, Packer, GitLab, and GitLab Runners.\nExperience providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting complex environments.\nAbility to support a wide range of technical tasks, including software upgrades, patching, system monitoring, and research and development.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Bash, and Terraform.\nWorking knowledge of security tools such as Security Center, Carbon Black, and McAfee.\nKnowledge of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for Linux operating systems.\nFull-stack development experience with Python.\nExperience with Kubernetes or Nomad orchestration.\nExperience with data-driven technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Elasticsearch, and YARN.\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity accreditation processes, including RMF, ATO, and NIST 800-53 controls.\nExperience with CI/CD and security testing tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or similar technologies.\nExperience with cybersecurity tools such as Security Onion, PCAP, Snort, and Bro/Zeek.\nStrong verbal, written, and organizational skills.\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and ad hoc requests.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nEducation:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.\nFour additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\n\nThis position is contingent upon contract
