In this role, you will contribute to both backend and frontend development, working on a mature customer-facing product used by organizations worldwide. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, QA specialists, SRE teams, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions while solving complex technical challenges.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain new features and modules across backend and frontend components\n\nSupport, enhance, and continuously improve the existing codebase\n\nBuild deep product knowledge, including its integrations, data flows, and ecosystem\n\nInvestigate and troubleshoot technical issues, working closely with support teams to provide end-to-end solutions\n\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, QA Engineers, SRE teams, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle\n\nCreate unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability\n\nParticipate in peer code reviews and promote engineering best practices\n\nDevelop and maintain integrations with third-party tools and external systems\n\nRequirements\n5+ years of commercial experience in full-stack software development\n\nStrong backend expertise with Java and Spring (Boot, MVC, Data)\n\nExperience designing and implementing APIs\n\nSolid knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including debugging performance and data-related issues\n\nStrong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)\n\nHands-on experience building production-grade applications with React, including hooks, component composition, and performance optimization\n\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript, including advanced typing and type-safe application design\n\nExperience working with state management libraries such as MobX, Redux, or similar solutions\n\nGood understanding of modern build tools and frontend tooling, including Vite or Webpack\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate unfamiliar technical challenges\n\nHigh level of ownership and ability to work independently in a remote environment\n\nAbility to start tasks with incomplete specifications and refine requirements during implementation\n\nUpper-intermediate (B2+) or higher level of spoken and written English\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment\n\nNice to have\nExperience developing applications within the Atlassian ecosystem (e.g. Atlassian Forge)\n\nFamiliarity with analytics, reporting solutions, or data integration protocols\n\nExperience working with AWS services (EC2, ElastiCache, RDS), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines\n\nKnowledge of performance optimization techniques and secure coding practices\n\nExperience supporting
