The role will oversee daily business activities within functional area, including working alongside colleagues for sales and customer success improving overall business functions, in particular this role is responsible for the development of the overall value proposition we take to market.\nThis role will oversee the development and launch of new products and propositions in alignment with the business strategy.\nThis role will be offered as a fixed term contract until the end of March.\nOur offices are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!\nWhat you’ll do\nThe General Manager - Propositions is responsible for (but not limited to):\nOwning the development and implementation of strategy for ITO, in line with broader Datacom strategy, in particular this role will be responsible for Propositions, including but not limited to:\nIdentifying and analysing customer needs, market trends, and competitive offerings to develop innovative and profitable propositions that meet the needs of the target market.\nAligning the performance, growth, proposition development, and financial sustainability of the proposition portfolio tightly with peers to execute Datacom’s product strategy and roadmaps\nLeading the development and implementation of product propositions aligned with business goals, customer needs, and market trends for IT Outsourcing\nConducting market research and analyse customer feedback to identify product opportunities, customer needs, and market gaps\nDevelop value propositions, product features, and benefits that differentiate the product in the market\nProduct positioning to drive sales and market share\nCreate collateral, tender responses, technology requirements with the wider business teams.\nIn addition the role will be responsible for:\nCollaborating with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. \nPlanning, personnel, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. \nInvolved in development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and strategy. \nDirecting and controlling the activities of own area of business, sometimes through managers within the team. \nSupporting Sales, Presales and Technical teams across Datacom ensuring an approach focused on growth and mutual benefit between Datacom and our customers. \nManaging the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts. \nMaking final decisions on administrative or operational matters, ensuring effective achievement of operational objectives. \nEnsuring budgets and schedules meet requirements. \nWe are a pretty agile company, and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders’ changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs.\nWhat you’ll bring\nMarket research and analysis: The ability to conduct market research and analyse data to identify customer needs, market trends, and gaps for ITO\nDemonstrated understanding and implementation of Product/Proposition frameworks and concepts. \nUnderstanding the ITO target customer and their needs is crucial for developing successful product propositions. A seasoned Propositions Manager should be skilled in customer segmentation, profiling, and personas development, and have a deep understanding of customer motivations and behaviours\nStrong strategic background, with an ability to grasp the big picture.\nProven experience in developing and launching successful Customer led propositions\nStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams\nDeep understanding of marketing and customer insights\nExperience in financial modelling and analysis\nProven track record of managing all aspects of a successful market propositions throughout its lifecycle.\nAbility to manage issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives.\nExperience in developing and launching successful product propositions from concept to launch. \nUnderstanding of the product development process, be familiar with product management tools and methodologies, and have experience working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, and marketing. \nExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written), flexibility, team focus and dedication to customer service. \nDemonstrated leadership and people management skills and the ability to work to deadlines. \nProven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives. \nPersonable, conscientious, ability to cope with pressure and to prioritise work. \nStrong customer service focus. \nExercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. \nAbility to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers and the company. \nEffective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels. \nAbility to build and lead an effective team. \nCulture and benefits\nJoin a team where you'll be supported to grow your career, prioritise your wellbeing, and make a genuine impact.
