Our newest territory, Greater Los Angeles, just joined our growing Company, and we're looking for a Human Resources Generalist to help guide employees through an exciting employee experience. You'll own onboarding for new hires, expand and implement HR programs, and be a steady, trusted presence across the team. Responsibilties

    Recruiting:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting activity including job posting creation, application review, screening, and candidate communication.
  • Partner with hiring managers to align role requirements, candidate profiles, and interview processes
  • Own the applicant tracking system (ATS) and serve as subject matter expert for hiring teams providing guidance and training.
  • Coordinate pre-employment steps including offer letter preparation, background checks, drug testing; oversee background screening compliance, adjudication of results, and FCRA-mandated pre-adverse and adverse action procedures.
  • Onboarding and New Hire Orientation:

  • Own the end-to-end onboarding process for all new hires, from offer acceptance through the first day of employment.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring a welcoming experience that reflects company culture and sets employees up for success.
  • Maintain onboarding checklists, I-9 documentation, and new hire paperwork in compliance with federal and applicable state requirements.
  • Maintain HRIS new hire records and create personnel files.
  • Day-to-Day HR Employee Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies and general employment matters.
  • Triage employee concerns and escalate complex or sensitive matters to HR leadership appropriately.
  • Support benefits, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and ADA administration.
  • Own personnel file maintenance, HR recordkeeping, and system data entry; reconcile with Payroll as needed.
  • Employee Relations and Investigations:

  • Provide support for coaching managers and employees, documenting concerns, and facilitating performance improvement or corrective action
  • Conduct workplace investigations for standard employee relations matters from intake through resolution.
  • Support HR leadership as a secondary resource on complex investigations, including document preparation, interview scheduling, and file management.
  • Draft corrective action documentation, performance improvement plans, and separation paperwork in coordination with HR leadership.
  • Reporting and HR Operations:

  • Support the HR Project Manager on HRIS implementation and ongoing administration, building platform proficiency and serving as a secondary resource for system questions across the organization.
  • Initiate and distribute standard HR reports on a scheduled basis including headcount, turnover, recruiting activity, leave tracking and compliance-required reports on deadline.
  • Pull ad hoc reports for HR leadership and department heads as requested.
  • Support HR projects and process improvement efforts as directed by HR leadership; cross trained to provide backup across all HR disciplines and locations.
  • Training and Engagement:

  • Help develop and deliver training content on HR topics including policy, compliance, and performance management.
  • Build materials and job aids for training sessions and company-wide communications; coordinate logistics.
  • Identify recurring questions that point to training gaps and bring recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and culture activities; serve on the engagement committee.
  • Additional Duties:

  • Assists with HR administrative duties as needed.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

    Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist or coordinator capacity.
  • Working knowledge of federal employment law; multi-state experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with recruiting coordination and supporting end-to-end hiring processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive employee information.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification, or active pursuit of certification.
  • Experience with California employment law.
  • Background in employee relations, including conducting workplace investigations.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms.
  • HR onboarding across the full employee recruiting lifecycle.
  • Ability to build, document, and maintain SOPs, process workflows, and HR standards in an evolving environment with the ability to identify gaps and design practical, scalable solutions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train non-technical users, present to all levels of the organization, and build strong working relationships across departments.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction.

Physical Requirements

  • Based in Orange, California with travel between two additional sites as needed; mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Sitting and/or standing for the majority of the day in front of a computer.
  • Others working at stations nearby, the noise level is normal for an open office environment.
  • Typing and using a mouse require hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Clarity of vision to read small print including documents and computer screens.
  • Ability to lift light boxes, files, or office equipment.
