We build test environments that give engineers and their AI coding tools fast, reliable feedback, so changes can be validated in minutes rather than days.\nOur team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us maintain and scale the Alerting platform. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nBuild automation systems that create and manage Alerting environments, with a focus on fast, realistic test environments that shorten the feedback loop for engineers and AI-assisted development workflows.\nWork with SRE, Core Infrastructure and the Alerting engineering teams to understand their needs and provide solutions.\nLead infrastructure projects and improve our CI/CD and developer tooling, including our deployment process.\nIdentify reliability bottlenecks, then design solutions to mitigate or eliminate them, including load testing and testing of infrastructure configuration before it reaches production.\nImprove infrastructure isolation and make our services scale automatically with load.\nWho You Are:\nYou’re interested in ops and infrastructure challenges, and you’re comfortable writing the code that automates them.\nYou can analyze a problem, identify its root cause and propose short-term and long-term solutions.\nYou’re a team player, able to work easily with your team members and with many other development teams.\nYou communicate appropriately to your audience, from fellow devs to top management.\nYou work autonomously across multiple technologies owned by different teams, and you like to discover and learn new ones.\nYou think that infrastructure and code are equally important.\nYou’re curious about how AI-assisted development changes the way we build and test software, and you enjoy making tooling that works well for both humans and agents.\nDatadog values people from all walks of life.
