no remote or hybrid flexibility \n\nSecurity Clearance: Full-Scope Security Clearance Required \n\nExperience: 10+ years with a bachelor's degree or 15+ years without a degree \n\nSalary: Flexible; based on qualifications and experience \n\nPosition Overview \n\nDataHaven Solutions, a subcontractor to Parsons, is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support a CITE (Computer Integration and Test Environment) facility at Fort Meade, Maryland. \n\nThe selected candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing complex development and test infrastructure across network management, network design and architecture, network systems engineering, network installation and maintenance, and information systems security engineering. \n\nThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Windows and Linux network administration, familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and components, and the ability to support secure, mission-critical development and testing environments. \n\nThis is a fully on-site position at the R&E Building in Fort Meade, Maryland. \n\nKey Responsibilities \n\nThe System Administrator will support the design, implementation, operation, and sustainment of development and test infrastructure, including: \n\nNetwork Administration & Infrastructure Management \n\nManage, monitor, and control networks supporting development and test environments. \n\nConfigure, maintain, and sustain Windows and Linux systems, network infrastructure, and associated hardware and software. \n\nMaintain network hardware and software, including uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. \n\nTroubleshoot networks, computer systems, servers, and peripheral devices to identify and resolve failures and performance issues. \n\nConsult and coordinate with external organizations to resolve network, system, server, and infrastructure issues. \n\nConduct site surveys for IT installations and validate the testing and quality assurance of development and test infrastructure systems. \n\nNetwork Design & Systems Engineering \n\nDevelop, evaluate, and contribute to technical proposals for changes to CITE facility networks. \n\nDesign, select, and implement architectures and procedures to address complex infrastructure challenges. \n\nPerform high-level system design, defining system and component performance requirements and interfaces. \n\nTranslate conceptual designs into technical specifications. \n\nIdentify and evaluate existing and emerging products, technologies, and architectures to address design, development, and testing requirements. \n\nSelect IT products, tools, services, and infrastructure components for development systems. \n\nInstallation, Maintenance & Technical Support \n\nInstall, configure, customize, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hardware and software components within development and test infrastructure. \n\nPerform lifecycle support for hardware, software, firmware, and configuration upgrades or modifications. \n\nInstall, test, and improve infrastructure equipment to maintain operational readiness. \n\nPerform hardware component repairs and modifications, including micro-soldering, trace repair, and component replacement to sustain equipment and support reverse engineering efforts. \n\nInformation Systems Security & Configuration Management \n\nImplement, configure, and sustain network and computer security solutions, including encryption, firewalls, antivirus rule sets, and intrusion detection and prevention systems. \n\nApply computer security principles to protect development and test infrastructure. \n\nUse configuration management principles to plan, manage, and document system implementation, modification, and integration. \n\nMaintain system inventories, non-attributable systems matrices, and rack, elevation, and room drawings. \n\nImplement and follow applicable safety protocols. \n\nRequired Qualifications \n\n10+ years of IT experience, including Windows and Linux network administration, with a bachelor's degree; or \n\n15+ years of relevant IT experience without a bachelor's degree. \n\nFull-Scope Security Clearance. \n\nExperience administering, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure and computer systems. \n\nFamiliarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and components. \n\nStrong knowledge of network administration, systems engineering, infrastructure maintenance, and troubleshooting. \n\nSpecialized Technical Skills \n\nCandidates should demonstrate experience or knowledge in the following areas: \n\nNetwork Architecture & Connectivity \n\nUnderstanding of software, hardware, and network architectures and topologies, including WANs, CANs, LANs, telecommunications systems, and associated protocols and standards. \n\nKnowledge of network connectivity concepts, including routing, switching, and IP addressing. \n\nUnderstanding of network architecture theory, design, implementation, and operation. \n\nExperience designing, developing, evaluating, testing, and securing development and test infrastructure networks. \n\nTelecommunications & RF Systems \n\nKnowledge of telecommunications concepts, components, protocols, and standards, including transmission, switching, and routing management. \n\nExperience designing, implementing, and operating telecommunications systems. \n\nAwareness of emerging technologies, tools, and trends relevant to mobile and RF development and testing infrastructure. \n\nSystems Security & Configuration Management \n\nFamiliarity with security hardware and software options and their specifications and applications. \n\nUnderstanding of computer security concepts and principles. \n\nExperience implementing and sustaining security solutions, including encryption, firewalls, antivirus tools, and intrusion detection and prevention systems. \n\nKnowledge of configuration management practices for planning, managing, and documenting system changes and integrations. \n\nInfrastructure Operations & Documentation \n\nExperience configuring, managing, and sustaining development and test network infrastructure and computer systems. \n\nAbility to monitor and maintain applications within an IT environment. \n\nExperience planning, coordinating, and administering hardware and software installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. \n\nAbility to maintain accurate system inventories, non-attributable systems matrices, and rack, elevation, and room drawings. \n\nKnowledge of applicable safety protocols. \n\nWork Location & Compensation \n\nLocation: R&E Building, Fort Meade, Maryland \n\nWork Arrangement: Fully on-site;
