Codes and text can be either printed on paper labels or directly marked (e.g., by laser etching) on parts of plastic, metal, wood, or other material. Captured images are typically processed by the edge-computing platform embedded into the scanner and the computing power, available to run our proprietary algorithms, also depends itself on the specific use-case.\nResponsibilities:\nContribute to design and develop SW libraries dedicated to multi-threaded signal/image processing, mainly based on proprietary algorithms, and intended to run on a multitude of edge-computing platforms which differ from each other by number of CPU cores, CPU architecture (Intel, ARM, MIPS, etc.), memory capacity and Operating System (Windows, Linux, or Android)\nContribute to design and develop new SW components, following well-established Software Quality Assurance (SQA) principles and best-practices\nContribute to research and develop the next generation of decoding algorithms based on both Machine-Learning and more traditional Computer-Vision technologies\nContribute to pursue the continuous improvement of Datalogic Decoding-Library ease-of-use and performance to facilitate its adoption and to consolidate our products’ leadership position in their respective reference markets\nContribute to maintain the already released versions of Datalogic Decoding-Library by analyzing, debugging, and fixing any open defects\nContribute to migrate to an Agile approach in terms of delivery, allowing all team members to autonomously build and release the Decoding-Library, as well as to continuously integrate it in reference-products’ application software.\nRequirements:\nEducation: Master’s Degree in Computer or Electronic Engineering or Mathematics or Physics\nLanguages: Italian and English (intermediate or better level)\nSpecific Knowledge and experience:\nGood knowledge of C/C++ programming language;\nHands-on experience with debugging, profiling, and code analysis tools;\nHands-on experience in image-processing acceleration (through openMP, FPGAs, GPUs, SIMD coprocessors or Neural Network Inference accelerators) is highly preferred;\nKnowledge of DevOps tools (Git, Docker, and Jenkins) and CI/CD principles is highly preferred.\nWhat We Offer:\nThe opportunity to join a leading international Group, recognized for its financial strength, innovation, and sustained growth.\nRole: Software Engineer\nContract Type: Permanent / CCNL Industria Metalmeccanica C011\nLevel: B2\nCompensation & Benefits:\nAnnual Base Salary (RAL): €40,000-€53,000\nVariable compensation\nWelfare and benefits package\nThe final compensation package (including base salary and potential variable incentives) will be defined based on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, and overall fit for the role.\nEqual Opportunity Statement:\nThis vacancy is open to candidates of all genders.
