You’ll build industrial software for edge computing, primarily using Rust on Linux.\nStrong software engineering experience matters more to us than your current language. Rust experience is ideal, and C++ experience is valuable, but neither is required. If you have substantial experience in other languages and are keen to work with Rust, we’d like to hear from you.\nYour Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and deploy software for industrial computers.\n\nTake ownership of technical solutions, from understanding requirements and making architectural decisions through implementation and operation.\n\nWork directly with customer engineers to clarify requirements, make technical decisions, and support integration.\n\nContribute to code reviews, share your experience, and help the team maintain reliable, maintainable software.\n\nWork extensively with AI coding agents as part of our development workflow, guiding their work, reviewing and testing the results, and retaining ownership of technical decisions and software quality.\n\nYou will be part of a cross-disciplinary team developing both the device-side and cloud-side components of data-intensive systems, using Python for cloud applications and Rust for industrial Linux applications.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of professional software development experience, including delivering and maintaining production software.\n\nPrior hands-on experience with Rust or C++.\n\nThe ability to independently solve complex engineering problems, evaluate trade-offs, and take responsibility for your work.\n\nA strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.\n\nExperience developing software on Linux.\n\nA practical approach to software design, testing, debugging, and maintainability.\n\nClear communication and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and customer engineers.\n\nDeep proficiency in at least one programming language and a willingness to learn and work with Rust.\n\nNice to Have\nProfessional experience with Rust.\n\nStrong C++ experience; experience with C is also useful.\n\nExperience developing industrial, or other resource-constrained software.\n\nFamiliarity with hardware interfaces and sensor integration.\n\nExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.\n\nKnowledge of networking and secure communication, including TCP/IP, UDP, and TLS.\n\nYou don’t need to tick every box.
