As we continue to grow, we’re looking for people who want to bring their experience, ideas, and perspective to meaningful projects and help shape what comes next at DataOne.\nAbout the Job\nDataOne is hiring a Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for our Vineland data center. This position supports construction, critical infrastructure, facility operations, and site services.\nYou'll work closely with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Legal to manage purchasing activities, negotiate supplier agreements, control costs, and support project schedules and ongoing operations.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage procurement activities, including sourcing, competitive bidding, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery tracking.\nPurchase construction materials, critical electrical and mechanical equipment, subcontracted services, and operational supplies.\nWork with Construction, Engineering, and Operations to identify purchasing needs, technical requirements, and equipment lead times.\nPrepare and evaluate RFQs, RFPs, supplier proposals, bid comparisons, and commercial recommendations.\nNegotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions.\nManage supplier relationships, onboarding, credit accounts, performance, and compliance requirements.\nMonitor purchasing budgets, committed spending, equipment deliveries, and opportunities for cost savings.\nMaintain procurement records, contracts, purchasing trackers, and supplier documentation.\nCoordinate with Finance and Legal on payment issues, contract changes, supplier disputes, and purchasing approvals.\nIdentify supply chain risks and resolve procurement issues that could affect construction schedules or facility operations.\nRequirements\nWhat You’ll Need\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, construction procurement, or a related field.\nExperience supporting purchasing activities in construction, industrial, infrastructure, or other complex project environments.\nStrong knowledge of competitive bidding, supplier negotiations, purchase orders, and contract administration.\nAbility to review technical specifications, construction drawings, scopes of work, and supplier proposals.\nExperience managing suppliers, purchasing budgets, delivery schedules, and procurement documentation.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or procurement management systems.\nStrong communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nWe recognize that experience and skills can come from different paths. Relevant professional, hands-on, educational, military, trade, and industry experience may all provide the skills and knowledge needed to succeed at DataOne.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting procurement for data centers, critical infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects.\nExperience purchasing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment and construction packages.\nKnowledge of U.S. construction suppliers, subcontractors, and equipment manufacturers.\nExperience managing long-lead equipment and complex delivery schedules.\nProfessional procurement or supply chain certification, such as CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or equivalent.\nWhat to Expect\nFull-time, on-site position at DataOne's Vineland facility.\nWork in an active data center construction and operating environment, including occasional site walkthroughs.\nOccasional domestic or international travel and schedule flexibility based on project needs.\nAdherence to site safety requirements, including applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nPhysical Requirements\nPrimarily office-based work involving prolonged sitting and computer use, with occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, and accessing construction or operational areas.
