As we continue to grow, we're looking for people who want to bring their experience, ideas, and perspective to meaningful projects and help shape what comes next at DataOne.\nAbout the Role\nDataOne is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support workplace health and safety across our data center operations, maintenance activities, and construction projects in Vineland, New Jersey. This position works closely with Operations, Engineering, Facilities Maintenance, Construction, and contractors to identify workplace hazards, promote safe work practices, and support compliance with applicable safety regulations.\nThe Safety Coordinator will conduct inspections, monitor high-risk activities, assist with incident investigations, and help maintain a safe working environment. This is a hands-on, on-site position suited for someone who is comfortable working in active industrial and construction environments and communicating with employees and contractors at all levels.\nWhat You'll Do\nConduct workplace safety inspections across data center operations, maintenance areas, and construction activities.\nSupport compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and established workplace safety procedures.\nMonitor electrical and mechanical safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, PPE, and NFPA 70E requirements.\nProvide safety oversight for activities involving electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, HVAC equipment, and other critical infrastructure.\nMonitor construction and contractor activities involving hot work, welding, rigging, crane operations, elevated work, and equipment installation.\nReview job hazard analyses (JHAs), work permits, pre-task plans, and contractor safety documentation.\nIdentify workplace hazards, document inspection findings, and coordinate corrective actions with responsible departments.\nSupport incident and near-miss investigations, emergency preparedness activities, and workplace safety reporting.\nExercise designated stop-work authority when serious hazards are identified and coordinate with authorized personnel before affected work resumes.\nParticipate in safety orientations, toolbox talks, contractor safety reviews, and employee safety awareness activities.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n3+ years of experience in occupational safety, construction safety, industrial safety, or environmental health and safety (EHS).\n OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.\nWorking knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace hazard identification, and occupational safety requirements.\nExperience conducting safety inspections, reviewing safety documentation, and supporting incident investigations.\nFamiliarity with electrical safety, NFPA 70E principles, LOTO, PPE, fall protection, and mechanical equipment hazards.\nKnowledge of construction safety practices involving hot work, elevated work, equipment installation, and contractor activities.\nStrong communication, organizational, and documentation skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.\nSafety experience within data centers, power generation facilities, utilities, or other mission-critical infrastructure environments.\nExperience supporting safety programs involving electrical distribution systems, mechanical infrastructure, and active construction operations.\nAdditional safety training or credentials such as OSHA 510, OSHA 500, Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).\nNFPA 70E training, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, or familiarity with ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management principles.\nWe recognize that experience and skills can come from different paths.
