We prioritize real-world execution, operational excellence, and measurable impact.\nYOUR ROLE\nAs a System Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of DataOne’s IT systems and infrastructure.\nWorking closely with the CTO, IT Infrastructure team, and other technical teams, you will help ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and security of our systems.\nYou will also contribute to infrastructure automation, incident resolution, backup and disaster recovery, system documentation, and the continuous improvement of our IT environment.\nRequirements\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nInstall, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers across Windows Server and Linux environments. \nDeploy, configure, and maintain software and operating systems. \nMonitor systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. \nManage and monitor backups and disaster recovery plans. \nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical incidents. \nAutomate infrastructure deployments and system configurations. \nManage Windows Server environments, including operating system and software deployment and configuration. \nAdminister and maintain Debian Linux environments. \nSupport networking environments including L2/L3, VLANs, and firewalls. \nImplement and maintain monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana. \nUse Ansible and GitLab CI/CD to automate deployments and configuration processes. \nDevelop and maintain scripts using Bash and Python. \nManage logging solutions including rsyslog and Fluent Bit. \nWork with infrastructure technologies including HAProxy, BIND, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and LibreNMS. \nApply a security-first approach across infrastructure projects and daily operations. \nDocument systems, configurations, procedures, and technical processes. \nTrack and manage assigned IT projects and technical tasks. \nRespond quickly and effectively to critical technical incidents. \nIdentify potential improvements and proactively recommend solutions. \nYOUR PROFILE\n5+ years of experience in System Administration, IT Infrastructure, or a similar technical position. \nStrong experience with Windows Server and Debian Linux. \nGood understanding of networking concepts, including L2/L3, VLANs, and firewalls. \nExperience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. \nExperience with infrastructure automation using Ansible. \nKnowledge of GitLab CI/CD. \nScripting capabilities with Bash and/or Python. \nExperience with logging and monitoring environments. \nKnowledge of HAProxy, BIND, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and LibreNMS is highly valued. \nExperience managing backups and disaster recovery processes. \nStrong troubleshooting and incident-resolution skills. \nGood understanding of IT security principles and best practices. \nStrong documentation and organizational skills. \nAutonomous, proactive, structured, and
