You bring handson expertise, ownership and curiosity, and you help strengthen our evolving GenBI vision\n\nWhy this role matters\nThis role plays a key part in building out GenBI within Datashift - our approach to enabling smarter analytics through semantic layers, natural language interfaces and intelligent analytical systems.\nYou will take ownership of challenging projects, develop semantic layers from the ground up, and help mature our methods, standards and best practices.\nYour responsibilities\nLead complex analytics engineering & GenBI projects\nBuild semantic models: businessoriented conceptual layers that enable natural language queries and intelligent analytics.\n\nTranslate business requirements into clear technical architectures, data models and pipelines.\n\nDetermine the right type of delivery approach: POC, pilot, or roadmap implementation.\n\nProvide strong technical direction\nDrive POC initiatives and evolve them into robust, scalable solutions.\n\nMake informed technical decisions, safeguard quality and define direction.\n\nBalance strategic thinking with handson engineering when needed.\n\nSupport and inspire the team\nCoach colleagues on modelling, engineering best practices and pragmatic delivery.\n\nExplore new technologies and translate potential into tangible value.\n\nRequirements\nWhat we are looking for\nAt least 5 years of experience in data & analytics, ideally with consulting experience;\n\nInterest in GenAI concepts and conversational analytics;\n\nStrong expertise in semantic modelling;\n\nSolid understanding of modern analytics engineering, including: SQL (expert), Python (a plus);\n\nDbt or similar modelling frameworks;\n\nAbility to take technical leadership while remaining handson;\n\nStrong communication skills for both business and technical stakeholders;\n\nFluency in Dutch and English.\n\nWhat we offer\nA highly entrepreneurial team where initiative truly matters.\n\nA nononsense working environment focused on high quality and real impact.\n\nExcellent terms of employment, including:\n\ncompany car & fuel card\n\nmeal vouchers\n\nbonus scheme\n\nlaptop & smartphone\n\nAttractive fringe benefits, including continuous training to develop your professional, technical and leadership skills.\n\nOpportunities to grow alongside Datashift, both in capabilities and financial rewards.\n\nWork from several locations -
