Then let's talk.\nJob Description:\nWe are looking for a Staff Infrastructure Architect in our Minneapolis or NYC office to own multi-cloud infrastructure architecture, Kubernetes platform strategy, and high availability across a product-led engineering organization of roughly 250 engineers.\nThis is a staff level individual-contributor role with broad technical influence and no direct reports. You will partner closely with engineering teams/leaders to anticipate infrastructure needs, shape platform strategy, and ensure the environment is ready for growth before capacity, reliability, or integration challenges become blockers.\nThe role is highly technical, with a focus on multi-cloud architecture, Kubernetes at scale, infrastructure-as-code, and maintaining a 99.95% uptime target. You will also play a key role in acquisition integration, architecture standards, and evaluating AI tooling that improves infrastructure and operational productivity.\n**Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.\nWhat You'll Do\nMulti-Cloud Architecture\nOwn multi-cloud architecture across AWS, GCP, and Azure, including workload placement, network topology, resilience, and platform design\nDesign connectivity patterns such as VPC/VNet peering, transit, and hybrid networking\nBalance portability, resilience, cloud-native capabilities, and cost\nEstablish cloud cost visibility and governance without slowing engineering delivery\nKubernetes & Platform Engineering\nOwn Kubernetes architecture at scale, including cluster topology, multi-cluster and multi-cloud strategy, scheduling, autoscaling, and multi-tenancy\nDefine the platform primitives engineering teams build on\nOwn the infrastructure-as-code foundation, using Terraform or equivalent technologies\nHigh Availability & Reliability\nDesign and validate multi-region, multi-AZ, failover, and disaster recovery patterns that support a 99.95% uptime target\nLead capacity and resilience planning by modeling growth and failure scenarios before they become production issues\nPartner on incident postmortems and drive architectural remediation where needed\nDeveloper Partnership\nWork directly with engineering teams to understand roadmap needs 2-3+ quarters ahead\nTranslate upcoming product, traffic, and scaling requirements into infrastructure plans\nEnsure capacity, networking, and platform capabilities are in place before teams are blocked\nAcquisition Integration\nSupport technical due diligence for acquisition targets, including architecture, technical debt, and integration risk\nDevelop integration blueprints and migration plans with a target of onboarding acquired systems within 90 days\nHelp determine which acquired systems should be replatformed, integrated, wrapped, or retired\nTechnical Leadership\nEstablish lightweight architecture standards that improve consistency and reliability without creating unnecessary process\nServe as a technical thought partner to Directors, senior engineers, and platform teams\nMentor senior and Staff-level engineers on architecture and system design\nEvaluate AI tooling for infrastructure automation, code generation, and operational workflows\nWhat You'll Bring\nMust-Have\n10+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience, including significant architecture ownership at scale\nDeep production experience designing and operating across at least two major cloud providers, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure\nStrong Kubernetes platform experience, including cluster topology, multi-cluster strategy, and platform-level architecture\nExperience designing highly available systems, including multi-region, multi-AZ, failover, and disaster recovery\nStrong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or similar tools\nDemonstrated ability to anticipate infrastructure and capacity needs before they become blockers\nExperience influencing technical direction across teams without formal authority\nDirect experience with M&A technical due diligence and post-acquisition system integration\nNice-to-Have\nExperience with enterprise architecture, including data, integration, or security architecture\nExperience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or AI-enabled engineering workflows\nExperience in a PE-backed or acquisition-heavy organization\nFamiliarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF\nWork Location & Flexibility\nThis position will be based in our Minneapolis or New York City location and follows a hybrid work model. Employees in these locations are expected to work on-site 2-3 days per week.\nThe base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position based on a good faith assessment of the role and market data at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, each candidate’s compensation offer may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, your geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience along with the requirements of the position. This position may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or overtime if applicable.
