Senior Java Developer - Platform & Performance

DataWalk is the Data and Analytics Platform with an Enterprise Knowledge Graph. DataWalk turns fragmented data into an enterprise knowledge graph - enabling humans and AI to uncover hidden patterns and answer complex multi-hop questions at a population scale. We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Platform & Performance Team.

The position will play a significant role in architecting, designing, developing and delivering high-performance Java-based software solutions that underpin our platform's stability, scalability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement core components of the DataWalk platform.

• Identify, recommend, design and implement non-functional and performance improvements.

• Evaluate new technologies and their application to the business.

• Work with team members and AI tools to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review code and/or design proper testing mechanisms.

• Support back-end engineering efficiency initiatives.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience, preferably in a product company.

• Fluent in Java, Spring, JDBC, SQL, Mockito, JUnit/TestNG.

• Good knowledge of SQL databases (preferably columnar database), basic knowledge of noSQL solutions.

• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and agents, with the judgment to responsibly enhance productivity and platform capabilities without compromising security, reliability, or maintainability.

• Experience in working with RESTful web services.

• Exposure to AWS, OCI, Kubernetes.

• Familiar with Redis, ActiveMQ Artemis (JMS), Docker.

• A self-starter and able to work well with others in a fast-paced agile environment with an emphasis on collaboration.

• Fluency in English and Polish.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of / experience in graph analytics.

• Experience with TypeScript and Angular.

• Exposure to building AI workflows.
