Consults on and oversees selection and implementation of automation and robotics on the assembly line.Job Description:\nWork closely with the design and application group to specify gear development requirements, quality levels, performance levels and program scheduling\nParticipate in Design/Program Reviews and oversees the communication of project status and issues with the department manager and the team members to effectively resolve issues as they arise.\nExpert in evaluating and improving processes in manufacturing systems in the GDC\nMake recommendations to improve product quality and processing during program process development stage\nLead team in evaluating and recommending new equipment, processes, and software\nParticipate in product design/development review meetings\nLead cost reduction, throughput improvement in gear cutting and finishing processes\nEngage with engineering staff to design and develop gear machining processes\nInvestigate scrap and rework resulting from gear machining processes\nInteract with production facility associates to solve process and tooling related problems and to develop new parts and processes\nManage engineering changes as they occur.\nInteract with customers and suppliers to resolve potential issues\nParticipate and assist with PPAP’s and new product launches at domestic and international facilities\nInvestigate and implement cost reduction efforts through the suggestion & productivity improvement programs.\nTroubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques as they occur.\nMaintain quality & process documentation - Control plans, PFEMAS, Picture Process Sheets, Tooling Sheets, etc.\nAbility to work independently while exhibiting teamwork skills with co-workers and others\nAvailable to work overtime if required\nSuccessfully complete assigned tasks on time to aggressive schedules\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Skills and Education\nA degree in Engineering or a related field or 3-5 years of related experience.\nKnowledge of Gear Manufacturing - Hypoid or Helical\nKnowledge of CNC machining processes - milling, turning, grinding, honing, deburring.\nProficiency in 3D modeling software.\nExcellent leadership and team management skills.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.\nKnowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.\nKnowledge of gear manufacturing.\nExcellent project management skills.\nAbout Dauch:\nDauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
