calculation\nVerification process of design\nQuality of work\nDesign Work in progress\nConstruction in progress\n\nJOB SUMMARY (Major functions of the position)\nRoles & Responsibilities\nMust be able to design and analyze Steel Structure elements of buildings and other steel structures.\n Must be able to develop detailed design calculations for the steel structures , all steel to steel and steel to concrete connections and get approval from contractor, client and consultants.\nMust be able to review shop drawings prepared in Tekla and Autocad and manage the modelling and detailing team.\nMust be able to do connection design of complex steel structures for buildings, warehouses, industrial projects using connection software such as idea statica or RAM/LIMCON or be able to generate own excel spreadhseets for connection design.\nCan do quantity take off for steel structures from the Tender/IFC drawings provided.\nCreate detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects.\nCollaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop structural designs.\nConduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and identify potential issues.\nPerform calculations and simulations to determine the strength and stability of structures.\nReview and approve design changes and modifications based on project requirements.\nProvide guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.\nStay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural design.\nCoordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of design deliverables.\nCommunicate and present design concepts and proposals to clients and stakeholders.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.\nMust be well versed in STADD PRO/ETABS software for Steel structure Design.\nMust be familiar with American and British Steel Design Codes.\nProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.\nAt least 5 years of experience in structural design engineering.\nExperience working on large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.\nStrong knowledge of building codes and regulations.\nProficiency in structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SAP\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills.\nPOSITION SPECIFICATIONS\n(Minimum requirement to competently perform the job, NOT the specifications of the person currently holding the position)\nBachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and Masters Degree in Structural Engineering\n3 years of design experience\nKnowledge in fabrication and erection
