Serve wherever the business requires technical expertise to optimize performance and efficiency. Continuously identify and implement process improvements that enhance quality and productivity.\nKey Responsibilities:\nManufacturing optimization:\nDrive end-to-end process improvement across the manufacturing footprint.\nManage and improve performance across the supplier and co-manufacturing network.\nOptimize production lines, capacity, and resource efficiency.\nSupport quality systems, root-cause analysis, and OEE improvement initiatives.\nResearch and development\nCollaborate with R&D to align on product specifications and technical feasibility during early-stage formulation.\nIntegrate process engineering considerations into formulation design to ensure scalability and production readiness.\nSupport new product and process development from concept through pilot scale.\nCommercialization\nTranslate bench-scale processes into commercial execution with minimal friction.\nEnsure formulation and process decisions are compatible with equipment capabilities and supplier constraints across production stages.\nAudit, start up, and validate new manufacturing sites for readiness and compliance.\nScale up lab or pilot processes to full production using DoE and data-driven validation.\nLead technology transfer, documentation, and training across facilities and partners.\nSupport our Quality team, as needed, with regulatory, validation, and risk assessment activities (IQ/OQ/PQ, FMEA, HACCP).\nRequirements\n What You’ll Bring:\nDegree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).\n4+ years experience in process design, scale-up, and manufacturing optimization.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying first-principles thinking and data-driven insights.\nPassion for innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.\nExceptional communication and collaboration skills across R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.\nA bias toward action, experimentation, and continuous learning.\nHumility, curiosity, and a drive to build iconic consumer brands.\nBenefits\nPracticalities:\nFull-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week (when not travelling) - when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.\nExpect to travel up to 2-3 weeks per month as needed for commercialization and production trials.\nCash compensation: $130-$150K per year, dependent on experience.
