The Program Coordinator will coordinate logistical details and provide administrative support for the Smith Davidson Leadership Initiative (SDLI) and the Deliberative Citizenship Initiative (DCI). The Program Coordinator will work with the SDLI Faculty Directors on SDLI activities and with the DCI Program Director on DCI activities.\nThe Smith Davidson Leadership Initiative (SDLI) recruits, selects, and trains Johnson C. Smith University and Davidson College students to become leaders and public servants who combat structural inequality through research, policy, advocacy, and community engagement. SDLI connects students to impactful summer internships while offering professional and academic training year-round.\nThe Deliberative Citizenship Initiative (DCI) at Davidson College creates opportunities for Davidson students, faculty, staff, community members, and alumni to engage with one another on difficult and contentious issues facing our community and society. DCI creates opportunities for productive dialogue and deliberation in diverse classroom settings, outside of the classroom, and in the community.\nHighly organized professionals with strong communication and logistical skills and a commitment to supporting student and community engagement programs are encouraged to apply.\nDavidson College is located a short drive from Charlotte, NC, the state’s largest city. There may be opportunities for longer-term employment conditional upon additional funding.\nResponsibilities:\nMeet with faculty directors and program directors regularly to discuss program activities.\nCoordinate logistical details for meetings, programs, and events.Coordinate logistics for DCI meetings, programs, community engagement, and events, including weekly student Fellows meetings during the academic year, four training workshops, four to six deliberative forum/speaker events, semi-annual Co-Convener and Advisory Council meetings, Deliberation Teams and ad hoc campus engagement events..\nCoordinate logistics for SDLI programming, including workshops, community-building experiences, new student orientation, summer professional/leadership development, and the summer book club.\n\nManage program payments, including student stipends and consultant payments, and manage and track program expenses and budgets.\nMaintain regular communication with students about programming and opportunities, and individual progress, and with internship partners about student experiences.\nMaintain and update program websites and social media presence with guidance from program directors\nManage data collected by each program.\nSupport faculty directors with logistical details to recruit an incoming cohort of 10 students in the fall semester.\nWork on special projects related to the programs.\nRequired Qualifications\nFour-year college degree or equivalent experience.\nFamiliarity with spreadsheets and data management platforms, such as Excel or Google Sheets.\nExcellent organizational, technical, and writing skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines consistently.\nAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovation-oriented environment.\nEnthusiasm about providing opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with undergraduate students, college faculty and staff, and/or community members.\nExperience coordinating complex projects with multiple components.\nExperience with Canva.\nExperience with \nA skills
