Overview

A landmark new chapter in Los Angeles luxury hospitality is on the horizon.

La Fontaine, a highly anticipated luxury hotel in the heart of Century City, is set to make its debut in 2027 following an extensive transformation. This is an opportunity for an accomplished hospitality leader to join the property at a pivotal moment and help bring its vision to life.

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary General Manager who will lead the hotel through its opening and beyond, establishing a distinctive service culture, driving commercial performance, and positioning La Fontaine as one of Los Angeles’ premier luxury destinations.

The Opportunity

As General Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape the guest experience, build and inspire a high-performing team, and set the operational and service standards for a new luxury hotel from the ground up. You will serve as the key leader for the property, partnering closely with ownership and corporate leadership to bring the hotel’s vision to life and deliver exceptional financial and operational results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and Engineering
  • Provide strategic leadership throughout the pre-opening, opening, and stabilization phases of the hotel
  • Establish a culture centered on exceptional service, genuine hospitality, employee engagement, and operational excellence
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire a talented leadership team and workforce
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans that drive revenue, profitability, market positioning, and long-term success
  • Build strong relationships with ownership, brand partners, community stakeholders, and key industry partners
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, revenue generation, and expense management
  • Champion the hotel’s luxury positioning and ensure every aspect of the guest experience reflects the property’s vision and standards
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and evolving luxury traveler expectations to identify opportunities for growth
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for the hotel and its people within the Los Angeles market and broader luxury hospitality community

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive luxury or full-service hotel leadership experience, including significant experience as a General Manager or President/General Manager
  • Proven success leading complex luxury or upscale hotel operations, preferably in a major urban or destination market
  • Pre-opening or opening experience strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success managing budgets, forecasting, revenue, and overall hotel profitability
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision with operational execution
  • A passion for luxury hospitality and creating memorable, highly personalized guest experiences
  • Proven ability to lead through change, build culture, and establish a strong sense of place for a new property

Why La Fontaine?

This is more than an opportunity to manage a hotel-it is an opportunity to help define one.

With its highly anticipated 2027 debut in Century City, La Fontaine offers the chance to join a luxury property at a transformative moment and play a defining role in its opening, culture, service philosophy, and position within the Los Angeles hospitality landscape.

If you are an accomplished hospitality leader energized by the opportunity to build something exceptional, we invite you to explore the opportunity to lead La Fontaine.
